Utah's five-member congressional delegation watched President Bush deliver his last State of the Union address Monday night. Here are some of their comments:

* SEN. BOB BENNETT: "It struck me as kind of a farewell speech. He laid out all of the things he is proud of," the Republican said. Bennett said the president looked most engaged when he discussed his continued resolve to fight the war in Iraq, but on domestic issues like immigration reform and health care Bush placed the onus on Congress to get things done.

* REP. ROB BISHOP: "He is clearly not coasting to the finish." Bishop supported the president's call for making permanent the tax cuts Congress passed early in his presidency. He also supported Bush's calls for strengthening national defense.

* SEN. ORRIN HATCH: "He is not going to be able to get through any new major initiatives, not without an awful lot of fighting." In particular, Hatch supported the reauthorization of a controversial surveillance law, including immunity for telecommunication companies that helped the government.

* REP. JIM MATHESON: "The economic concerns facing this country you heard right at the top of the speech and I think that was appropriate." The Democratic lawmaker supports the $150 billion bipartisan stimulus package, but said Congress is unlikely to make the Bush tax cuts permanent like the president asked for or reauthorize the No Child Left Behind education law.

* REP. CHRIS CANNON: "There was nothing new." Cannon said the president seemed confident and "at ease" as he discussed the war in Iraq, the economy and trade among other issues.
