The Salt Lake County Council is under new management.
GOP Councilman Michael Jensen was endorsed unanimously Tuesday as the incoming chairman of the politically divided county board. Republican Jeff Allen - entering his second year on the council - will serve as vice chairman.
The GOP holds a 5-4 edge on the council. Democrats did not challenge Jensen's nomination, but named liberal lion Joe Hatch as minority leader.
