South Jordan has been named a leader in government innovation by the Alliance for Innovation, an international nonprofit association of local governments.
The Salt Lake County city was recognized for its 20-year financial sustainability forecasting model, which the city designed to help officials predict the long-term effects of their decisions. South Jordan officials will share their computer-based model with other municipalities at the alliance's annual Transforming Local Governments Conference this June in Greenville, S.C.
