Posted: 6:29 PM- On Tuesday, 5th District Judge James L. Shumate ordered that transcripts of a Jan. 25 visit between polygamous sect leader Warren S. Jeffs and his brother Nephi at the Purgatory Correctional Facility in Hurricane be released.
The Washington County Attorney's Office, in response to a record request from The Salt Lake Tribune, released the actual video recording of that visit today.
During the visit, Jeffs told his brother that he is not the prophet of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jeffs asked for forgiveness for his "aspiring and selfish ways" and for "deceiving the elect."
