WASHINGTON - The Internet tax-moratorium bill, passed 405 to 2 on Tuesday, was sponsored by Reps. John Conyers, D-Mich. and Chris Cannon, R-Utah.
After the vote, Cannon said: "My preference has always been to make the Internet Tax Moratorium permanent. However, this extension will prevent the current moratorium from expiring and remove the claws of government from digging further into the pocket of the American taxpayer."
The Senate has yet to act on a similar tax moratorium.
