Granite School Board of Education members took a stand against the upcoming education vouchers decision.
The board passed a resolution urging the public to reject House Bill 148 Education Vouchers by voting No on State Referendum 1 this November.
"Thank you for bringing this up," Board member Patti Sandstrom told the board at Tuesday's meeting. "I'm proud our board is taking a stand. It's time. You are either for it or not."
The resolution also encourages the public to "thank legislators for efforts of the past few years and encourage them to continue those efforts so Utah children can have resources on par with those of their peers around the country." - Roxana Orellana
