Posted: 3:09 PM- A certified nursing assistant was ordered Thursday to stand trial for allegedly molesting an 85-year-old female patient at a long-term care facility.

Jacob M. Bolith, 30, is charged with first-degree felony rape, second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse and class A misdemeanor lewdness for the alleged July 1 attack at Christus St. Joseph Villa, in Salt Lake City.

Detective Catherine Schoney testified during a 3rd District Court preliminary hearing that the alleged victim, who uses a wheelchair, was "articulate, attentive and gave a good description" of the attack during an interview.

A hospital examination showed the woman suffered abrasions and lacerations on her genitals, according to a police report.

Bolith will be arraigned Sept. 17 before Judge Robin Reese. If convicted of rape, Bolith faces up to life in prison.
