Hundreds of people turned out for song and praise at Worship '07, a Christian music festival Sunday at the Gallivan Center.

"All these churches are coming together as one for Christ," said Cindy S. Nieser, 46, who joined relatives and friends for the concert, sponsored by Standing Together, a Utah network of 100 evangelical churches.

Nieser's church, Valley Assembly of God of West Valley City, provided one of the music groups performing at the event.

"The presence of God in the music . . . lifts you up," Nieser said.

Other acts included groups from Living Waters Christian Fellowship of Salt Lake City, The Adventure of Draper, and Calvary Mountain View of American Fork.

"It's fun to meet a lot of people and sing along with the songs," said Raichelle J. Aniceto, 13, who attended the concert with Abby Yenson, 13, and Jen Gonce, 15, who attend the Salt Lake Christian Center.
