Robin Erickson has been named director of the Utah Clean Cities Coalition, a nonprofit group sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy's renewable-energy office.
Erickson, a former Clean Cities volunteer and board member, previously was fleet manager for MediaOne - formerly the Newspaper Agency Corp. - for 12 years. There, she cut fuel costs by $329,000 a year and switched to some clean, alternative fuels such as natural gas.
"The future of air is in our hands and, with strong partnership commitments, we can make breathing easier a reality for all Utahns," Erickson said in a statement. "As director of the Utah Clean Cities Coalition, I will continue its strong commitment to clean fuels, clean air and the future of Utah's next generation."
