No appointment needed. Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon's door is open.
The mayor will meet with residents today between 4 and 5:30 p.m. - continuing his open-door practice that gives citizens a chance to sit down and chat with him. The meetings also are scheduled on the third Thursdays of July, September and November at the Salt Lake County Government Center, 2001 S. State St. Residents are heard on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each meeting lasts 10 minutes. Spokesman Jim Braden said the meetings are to accommodate people who would have difficulty scheduling one otherwise. - Jeremiah Stettler
