Taylorsville police said four men robbed a jewelry merchant of a bag of diamonds Wednesday night outside a fast-food restaurant. The theft occurred about 8:45 p.m. in the parking lot of a Panda Express near 5600 South and Redwood Road, said detective Troy Martinez. When the men demanded that the merchant hand over the black bag, one of them displayed a black revolver, Martinez said. The men left in a dark-colored minivan. The heist is still under investigation.
