Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon has named Erin Litvack as director of the Community Services Department - a decision that now goes before the County Council for a confirming vote.
Litvack, a two-year county employee, previously served as associate director of a department that encompasses parks and recreation; the Zoo, Arts and Parks program; and event centers such as the Clark Planetarium, Center for the Arts, the Salt Lake Palace Convention Center, the South Towne Exposition Center and the Salt Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Litvack replaces Chris Crowley, who resigned in January to devote more time to a small business he runs with his wife.
