Auditor Jeff Hatch has tapped Bruce Larsen, internal audit manager for Mrs. Fields Famous Brands, to serve as his chief deputy. Larsen spent much of his finance career with Utah Power. He also worked early in his career as an auditor for the Utah Tax Commission. "Bruce has a quick mind and friendly way of getting involved in the discussion," Hatch said. "Combining these personal traits with his wealth of professional knowledge and experience will certainly make Bruce a valuable player for our office and the county as a whole." Upon getting the appointment, Larsen said he looks forward to cutting bureaucratic waste and reaching out to people to make government more accessible.
