Utah Republicans on Saturday elected former U.S. Congresswoman Enid Greene to serve as their leader for the next four months.

Greene was elected state party chairwoman at the party's quarterly meeting in Salt Lake City. She'll serve in the position until June 10, completing the two-year term left unfinished by Joe Cannon. Cannon resigned as party chairman in November, and the following month he was hired as editor of the Deseret Morning News.

The Utah GOP elected Todd Weiler, chairman of the Davis County Republican Party, as vice chairman and Carrie Dickson as party secretary.
