Here are events happening around the Wasatch Front to celebrate Monday's Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

* TODAY: 3 p.m., Beverly Daniel Tatum Lecture, U. campus, Olpin Union Salt Air Room

Dr. Tatum, president of Spelman College, a historically black liberal arts school in Atlanta, will present a special lecture on contemporary issues of race relations in the United States.

7 p.m., "American Blackout" Feature Film & Discussion, U. campus, Olpin Union Theatre, Ian Inaba's "American Blackout" is a provocative documentary that looks at the historic and systematic disenfranchisement of the black vote through the lens of the political career of a Georgia congresswoman.

7:30 p.m., Spelman College Glee Club performances, Westminster College, Vieve Gore Concert Hall, 1840 S. 1250 East

* SATURDAY: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Diabetes Awareness Community Service Project, Northwest Multipurpose Center, 1300 W. 300 South, Salt Lake City. A free health fair with diabetes awareness information, screenings and referrals.

* SUNDAY: 11 a.m., Spelman College Glee Club performances, First Presbyterian Church, 12 C Street , Salt Lake City

3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Interfaith Service with Spelman Glee Club, Calvary Baptist Church, 1090 S. State St., Salt Lake City, for information, call 355-1025.

* MONDAY: 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., annual Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. prayer breakfast, health fair & march, The Marshall White Center, 222 28th St., Ogden, donation: $10 for adults. Children are free., For information, call Betty Sawyer at 801-394-0924.

5:30 p.m., Walk of Life Memorial Program, a candlelight processional, Brigham Young University, Bell Tower to the Wilkinson Student Center, Provo, for information, call 801-422-8097.
