PROVO - An Orem man on federal probation for possession of child pornography was arrested Monday for alleged sexual abuse of a 16-year-old.

Robert Wayne Fiscus, 42, and the boy met while the boy was working for the Orem Owlz baseball team, according to a court document. The boy discovered Fiscus was a registered sex offender while searching for his own father, who is also a sex offender, on the Utah registry.

Shortly after that, the boy and Fiscus began a relationship.

Fiscus rubbed the boy inappropriately and performed a sexual act on him on more than one occasion, the boy alleged.

Fiscus also gave the boy a cell phone containing pornographic images, the boy said.

At some point, the boy reported the relationship to his church bishop, who referred him to police.

Fiscus admitted in a police interview to grabbing the boy's buttocks and hugging him but said it was only a sign of friendship.

Ficus is in Utah County jail in lieu of $20,000 bail and was ordered to have no contact with the victim or anyone else under 18.
