A suspicious package found at the IRS building in Salt Lake City contained only personal belongings, police said.
The building, at 50 S. 200 East, and surrounding blocks were evacuated late Tuesday afternoon because an unattended bag was found leaning against the building, said Salt Lake police Detective Robin Snyder.
It's the second time this month an IRS building in Utah has been evacuated. On March 1, the IRS building in Farr West also received a suspicious package. The substance inside was found to be nonhazardous, the FBI said.
