The Utah Transit Authority is celebrating it's ninth-annual recognition of women's history month on Wednesday with keynote speaker demographer Pamela Perlich.

Perlich, a University of Utah senior research economist, will speak on "The Changing Demographics of Utah."

UTA holds the annual celebration in an effort to allow the community to honor women and their place in history. Past speakers include former Gov. Olene Walker, Utah State Sen. Pat Jones, D-Holladay, author Carol Tuttle, and several first ladies of Utah.

Those interested can RSVP by reaching Jeanetta Williams at 801-287-2128 or by jwilliams@rideuta.com.

The event will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the UTA corporate offices, 3600 South 700 West.
