"Happy," the clown-faced suspect in a robbery, likely isn't smiling anymore.
Tony Alexander Pete -- a burglary suspect whose street name reflects his harlequin-like clown eyes and mouth tattoos -- had been on the run since Feb. 25. He was wanted in connection with a residential break-in near the 400 block of 21st Street in Ogden.
The Standard Examiner reports that Pete was apprehended about 11:45 p.m. Thursday by members of the Joint Criminal Apprehension Team inside a house near 800 27th Street.
The arrest was made about 11:45 p.m., said Deputy U.S. Marshal Troy Briggs.
"We were looking in the house for somebody else that's wanted and found [Pete] hiding in a back room," Briggs told the newspaper. "We found him in one of the bedrooms, trying to hide down underneath some blankets."
The other person officers were looking for was not found, however.
Ogden police said the victim in the Feb. 25 burglary claimed he had been awakened by two men claiming to be police officers. Before running off with a computer, the men tried to cover the victim with a blanket, but he allegedly was still able to recognize Pete, a previous acquaintance.
The victim was unable to identity the second man.
