Radiation Control Board is looking to fill 6 of 13 spots

The Radiation Control Board is looking for a few good people to join its ranks.

Terms are expiring for six of the board's 13 positions this summer. Gov. Gary Herbert will be looking for qualified applicants with knowledge about radiation protection who are elected county officials, in the radiation safety field, medicine, the general public and a representative of an organized environmental interest.

The panel meets on the first Tuesday of each month and considers issues involving uranium mills, medical X-ray users, radioactive waste disposal and people who use radioactive materials for commercial, research and industrial purposes.
