Holladay » City officials here want to take a closer look at opposition to plans for a $15 million housing and shopping center in the heart of town.
The Holladay City Council agreed Thursday night to create an independent committee to review an appeal of plans for the Holladay Village Center. The council delayed voting on the appeal, which was filed by two former planning commissioners.
Opponents of the center, which could sprout three-story buildings at 4680 S. 2300 East, say the project has too many apartments -- 75 units -- and not enough parking. But the planning commission has said the plans meet the requirements of city code.
