A semi tractor-trailer rig's leaking fuel tank resulted in a brief closure of a northern Utah Interstate 15 off-ramp late Thursday morning.
Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Cameron Roden said the northbound truck's tank was punctured by road debris on the freeway near Farr West, resulting in a 2-mile-long dribble of diesel fuel . The driver pulled onto the off-ramp at 2700 North when he noticed the leak and notified authorities about 10:30 a.m.
Roden said Utah Department of Transportation crews sanded the affected stretch of freeway and had opened the off-ramp by 12:15 p.m.
