Police say a Logan man held a Jack Russell terrier by the tail and shot the dog repeatedly in the testicles with an air soft gun.
The man, 22, was arrested Friday in connection to the alleged Dec. 24 abuse. The dog belonged to an acquaintance of the man and now is in police custody. The dog is scheduled to be seen by a veterinarian.
Police are investigating the roles of others who may have facilitated the abuse, officers wrote in a news release.
