One of four Utah County men accused of trapping two females in a truck and sexually assaulting them last year in Highland has been sentenced to probation and a fine.
The four were charged in Provo's 4th District Court with two counts each of first-degree felony forcible sexual abuse.
Jace M. Blickenstaff, 20, of Lindon, pleaded guilty in December to a lesser third-degree felony count of dealing in harmful materials to a minor, which is punishable by up to five years in prison.
Judge Claudia Laycock gave Blickenstaff credit for eight days in jail he had previously served. As part of a 24-month probation, he must pay a $958 fine and have no contact with the victims.
The other three defendants, Kyle Anderson, 18, of Lindon, Shawn Havili, 19, of Pleasant Grove, and Jared E. Holland, 19, of Pleasant Grove, are set for a scheduling hearing Wednesday.
According to a Lone Peak police affidavit, the alleged victims, females age 17 and 18, were riding in a vehicle with the men in the early hours of Oct. 7 when the men attempted to take off their clothing.
The 17-year-old girl was in the front center seat when Blickenstaff took off her pants, shirt and bra and put the clothes under his seat so she could not get them, according to police.
He and Holland, who was driving, then fondled the girl, police wrote. The girls allegedly were yelling at the men to stop the truck and let them go.
Meanwhile, in the back seat, Havili and Anderson attempted to remove the 18-year-old's clothing, while all four men fondled her, police said.
But the 18-year-old said she fought them off, "kicking and screaming the entire time," according to police. The men finally stopped, let the 18-year-old victim out and she ran, police wrote.
The 17-year-old also got out, but the men told her they would only return her clothes if she got back into the truck, according to police. She complied, and was later dropped off at American Fork Junior High School.
Police were called at about 3:45 a.m. and the four men were arrested and jailed.
