Salt Lake City hazardous materials crews rushed to the scene of a non-injury traffic accident Tuesday afternoon after one of the vehicles began leaking fuel.

Fire Department spokesman Scott Freitag says the problem -- initially feared to be a major incident -- ended up being rather minor, however. Only "a couple gallons" of the fuel leaked, he said.

The collision, between two dump trucks, occurred at a landfill near 6000 West and California Avenue about 1:45 p.m.

The diesel fuel spilled into a nearby pond, but the scene was quickly cleaned up.
