A nonprofit group plans to make free home repairs to some low income, elderly and disabled residents in Utah this summer.

World Changers is a service organization that visits U.S. cities each year to provide free home repairs or improvements, including installing new windows, siding, or roofs and build wheelchair ramps. Landscaping, fencing and painting can also be done.

The organization has partnered with Salt Lake City's Housing & Neighborhood Development office to bring its service to residents of Salt Lake and South Salt Lake for the past three years. Youth volunteers provide labor for the projects.

Project applications are being accepted through March 1 and the work will be done in July.

Information and applications are available from the housing and development office.
