The Salt Lake County District Attorney is creating a specialized team to prosecute elder abuse.
District Attorney Lohra Miller says the county has received some grants to complete the project, which has been in the works for a couple of years.
Deputy District Attorney Alicia Cook will lead the team of three attorneys and one investigator. The group will specialize in prosecuting both physical abuse and financial exploitation of the elderly.
