A Woods Cross man was booked into the Davis County jail Friday morning after an overnight standoff with police that started when the man allegedly stabbed a friend.

Christopher Bloore, 33, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a 50-year-old man several times in the head and torso, said Woods Cross police Sgt. Delos Fantos.

The fight occurred near 1200 West and 500 South about 9 p.m. in the 50-year-old man's mobile home, Fantos said. Bloore then ran to another mobile home where his girlfriend lives.

Police and SWAT teams arrived and tried for several hours to get Bloore to come out. He was the only one in the residence, Fantos said. About 1:30 a.m., authorities launched gas canisters into the mobile home. Bloore came out with his hands up after several minutes and surrendered.

The man who was stabbed was listed in serious condition at a Salt Lake County hospital, Fantos said.
