The Davis County Health Department is handing out tickets today for future H1N1 flu vaccination clinics.

There are about 8,000 free tickets available, in addition to the ones handed out Thursday, for the clinics taking place on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday at the Davis Conference Center, 800 West Heritage Park Blvd., in Layton, said Bob Ballew, the department's public information officer.

The tickets will be distributed today from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Bountiful Regional Center, 835 N. 400 East, North Salt Lake, and the Legacy Events Center, 151 S. 1100 West, Farmington, Ballew said.

The health department is reserving tickets for the population most at risk, as determined by the Centers for Disease Control. The targeted population includes:

» Pregnant women.

» A caregiver of a child younger than 6 months.

» Children between the ages of 6 months and 24 months.

» A health care or emergency medical services worker.

» A person 25 to 64 years old who has a health condition associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza.

The H1N1 vaccine will be offered to the general population after the higher-risk groups have been immunized, the Davis County Health Department Web site states.
