Hunters found a body in Ogden Canyon on Saturday, the Weber County Sheriff's Office said.

Few details were available about the discovery Saturday evening, including the person's gender and whether or not foul play is suspected in the death.

"Hunters came across a body and went up and got it," said Weber County Sheriff's Sgt. Ron Kendell. "We're not going to release anything more at this time until we're sure what [happened]."

Weber County Sheriff's Capt. Klint Anderson said the body is "badly decomposed" and investigators will need to wait on autopsy results to determine more information on the person's identity.

He said the sheriff's office planned to release more information on the incident Sunday.
