The Utah Department of Transportation on Thursday closed the southbound ramp from U.S. Highway 89 to Interstate 15 in Salt Lake City's Beck Street area for reconstruction and alignment with a new bridge.
The ramp will remain closed for two months. Access to southbound Beck Street from U.S. 89 will remain open but will be restricted to one lane.
Alternate routes for motorists using Highway 89 include 500 South and 2600 South in Bountiful.
