An Idaho man will stand trial for a car crash that killed his wife, a judge ruled Thursday.

Casey G. Sanders is accused of driving drunk in the Sept. 1 wreck that killed Katie Marie Sanders, 24. A 1st District judge on Thursday ruled there is enough evidence for Sanders, 25, to stand trial on a charge of automobile homicide, a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

The couple's 1996 Chrysler LHS was traveling east on State Road 142 near Richmond when it rolled off the road, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Neither person was wearing a seat belt. Katie Sanders died at the scene.

Sanders, of Lewiston, Idaho, also is charged with misdemeanor driving on a revoked license. He entered not guilty pleas after the judge's ruling. A court hearing is scheduled for Dec. 16 in Logan, but no trial date has been set.
