Soren Simonsen snatched a 13-vote lead Tuesday night over challenger Lisa Ramsey Adams in Salt Lake City's District 7 race, according to unofficial returns.
The Sugar House contest flipped in the incumbent's favor for the first time with just a handful of precincts still to be counted.
In the District 3 Avenues-Capitol Hill contest, Stan Penfold has opened up a 55 percent to 44 percent lead, according to unofficial returns. More than half of the vote has been counted.
In District 1, three-termer Carlton Christensen is rolling over Leslie Reynolds-Benns by more than 200 votes, according to early returns.
One call is safe. Jill Remington Love is cruising in District 5. She is running unopposed.
Proposition 1, the $125 million bond for new public-safety complex, also appears safe. With more than half the vote counted, Prop 1 enjoys a 65 percent to 35 percent advantage.
