Investigators say a fireplace blaze might have caused a house fire that displaced 14 people.
The fire began about 11 p.m. Saturday near 1100 South and 1500 West, Salt Lake City fire spokesman Scott Freitag said. Some of the six adults and eight children who live in the house were at home when the fire began in the attic. No one was injured. The fire caused $60,000 damage to the attic and roof, Freitag said.
The fire is not suspicious, Freitag said. The family had been using the fireplace earlier in the night.
