Salt Lake City firefighters have arrested a man accused of throwing Molotov cocktails at a house after a "financial disagreement."
The 41-year-old allegedly ignited several of the improvised firebombs near a Holladay home about 5:20 a.m. Sunday, starting fires in the attached garage, vehicle, and setting several other small blazes in the front yard, according to a booking statement at the Salt Lake County jail. On the house and vehicles, he allegedly spray-painted the words "I steal, thief."
A witnesses reported seeing the suspect with several Molotov cocktails just before the vandalism.
Officers also found weapons in his house after getting a search warrant. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated arson.
