A Salt Lake County jail inmate died Tuesday after going into cardiac arrest in her cell.
Salt Lake City police arrested Kellee Vee Fetter, 26, a day earlier on suspicion of possessing cocaine and heroin and prostitution. Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Don Hutson said the death is under investigation but it appears drug use played a role. She had earlier received medications from the jail for withdrawl symptoms, Hutson said.
Fetter was alone in a cell, Hutson said, adding there was no sign of suicide. Fetter was pronounced dead at St. Mark's Hospital.
