Four jets from Hill Air Force Base flew over northern Utah to be part of the University of Utah football game's pre-game ceremonies Saturday. The jets did the flyover at the Utah game because the Utes are playing Air Force.

The two F-16s and two F-22s flew from the base in Davis County to Salt Lake City and over the stadium during the national anthem about 1:30 p.m., said Hill spokesman George Jozens, then flew back.

Groups often request fly-overs as part of patriotic ceremonies or events, and the Air Force responds to some as "a community relations project."

"It's something we do on a routine basis," Jozens said.
