What was the point of denigrating and belittling Republican Sen. Bob Bennett before giving him a "thumbs up" in the editorial "Land-swap winner" (Our View, Aug. 9)? Does giving kudos to a conservative Republican make The Tribune 's editorial board feel so slimy that it feels the need to include a slight to counteract the feeling? It's also worth noting that land-swap bill co-author Democratic Rep. Jim Matheson was excluded from your vitriolic offense. This might lead one to assume that there is a liberal bias at The Tribune .

Please consider simply giving credit where credit is due and leaving out the puerile attacks.
