First Utah Bank has promoted Brian Hobbs to vice president-retail operations leader. He began his career in banking at First Utah Bank nine years ago working as a customer-service representative. Since then, he has held several positions with the bank, including branch banking officer and assistant branch manager.

Cliff Hayden, of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Ogden, has earned the Graduate Realtor Institute designation. He specializes in sales in Weber, Davis, Morgan and Box Elder counties.

Chris Hatch , Jake Olson and Joe Cooley have founded Mountain West Retail Property Services, a commercial real-estate company headquartered in Salt Lake City.

Meera Kanhouwa has joined MedPlus, a Quest Diagnostics health information technology subsidiary as vice president-medical information officer. She is an emergency physician and most recently served as physician executive, Health Solutions Group, at Microsoft Corporation.

Prestige Financial Services Inc. has named Rich Hyde executive vice president of operations. He will oversee loan servicing, operations policy and client special situations.

Love Communications, a Salt Lake City-based advertising agency, has hired Peggy Conway as vice president and media director and Matt Miller as a copywriter.

marketing. In this new role, he will head the development of strategic sales and marketing programs.

 

Omniture, Inc. has appointed Brian Andersen vice president of corporate development. He will be responsible for all mergers and acquisition activities for the company.

Don M. Drysdale, of Drysdale Valuation PLLC, has received the Accredited Senior Appraiser for business valuation, issued by the American Society of Appraisers.

The Utah Trail Machine Association has appointed three new senior officers. Lemont Southworth was elected president. He has served as the editor of the UTMA newsletter and organized High Five, a revival of the UTMA's annual cleanup day at Five Mile Pass on Memorial Day weekend. Joe Linza , who is currently territory rep for Western Power Sports, is vice president. Michael Southworth was appointed to fill a vacancy on the board of directors. He owns and operates Resolution in Lehi.

The Salt Lake Chamber has named Ryan Evans to the new position of vice president of Business and Community Relations. He will fortify relationships with prominent Chamber members and community partners and strengthen the Chamber's statewide business leadership.
