A large apartment fire left 83 people homeless Sunday in Ogden.

Fire was reported at the 30-unit building at 2325 Quincy Ave. at about 3 p.m., said Ogden Fire Marshal Matt Schwenk. Crews were battling the blaze past 9 p.m.

All the residents have been accounted for, and none of them were injured in the fire, Schwenk said.

Red Cross teams were organizing assistance at 23rd Street and Quincy Ave., according to a news statement.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation as does the estimated damage, Schwenk said.
