A Garland man died in a head-on collision Tuesday in Box Elder County.

The man, 40, was driving a Plymouth Breeze north on State Road 38 about 4 p.m. when the car collided with a southbound Ford Fusion between Brigham City and Honeyville, said Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Cameron Roden. The Ford's 18-year-old driver crossed the center line while rounding a curve in the road, Roden said.

The driver of the Plymouth died at the scene, he said. Authorities would not release his name pending family notification.

The 18-year-old was flown to a hospital for observation.
