A man arrested for drunken driving said he was from another planet and was "getting his binge on."

A Salt Lake City police officer pulled over the 30-year-old man on June 16 on suspicion of driving erratically and not having his lights on. The driver smelled of alcohol and volunteered he was "from the planet Alpha Omega," according to court documents. The documents then say the man said "tonight I started getting my binge on."

The driver, who court documents say is actually from Salt Lake City, is charged with a felony count of driving under the influence. Court documents say the man also was traveling with suspected counterfeit $50 bills, but no such criminal charges have been filed.
