A 22-year-old Salt Lake City fugitive, dubbed the "Hipster grifter" by the New York Observer , has been arrested in Philadelphia on several warrants out of Utah.

Police picked up Kari Ferrell about 10:45 p.m. Sunday, said Philadelphia police Officer Christine O'Brien. She was arrested and booked into jail without incident after police were tipped off, O'Brien said.

Ferrell is wanted for forgery and theft in Utah, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department. A recent Observer article profiled her as a con artist living in New York. After the publicity, Ferrell posted a brief apology online at http://www.animalnewyork.com" Target="_BLANK">http://www.animalnewyork.com -- but didn't turn herself in.

Last month police issued an extradition warrant for Ferrell. It was the most recent in a handful of outstanding warrants totaling $60,000.
