A Taylorsville man was killed in a traffic crash Monday on State Street in South Salt Lake.

Sheldon Dudley, 76, was driving a Honda passenger car west on Miller Avenue (3115 South) when he turned south onto State Street about 1:30 p.m., said South Salt Lake police spokesman Gary Keller. Dudley did not yield to a northbound pickup and was broadsided in the intersection, Keller said.

Dudley died at the scene. The driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries.
