A West Jordan man allegedly took $800 in change during a home burglary. In charges filed Tuesday, police wrote that a Salt Lake City couple found a window had been broken at their home near 400 East and Harvard Avenue (1142 South), and someone had taken a paint bucket containing the change. Moments later, police stopped a man near that intersection. He had a paint bucket of change and a crowbar in his pants, police wrote. The man, 48, was charged with second-degree felony burglary and theft, unlawful possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief and providing false personal information to a peace officer, all misdemeanors.
