A man fell to his death from a highway overpass early Sunday morning, and police are looking for help identifying him.

He was between 30 and 40 years old, 6 feet tall and weighed 215 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a blue jacket and blue cap with the words "Ocean Kayak" written in white on the front and "Paddle to the People" on the back, said Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Steve Winward. He had an iPod in his pocket but no identification. A search of his fingerprints in state databases did not find his identity.

The man appears to have jumped 65 to 70 feet from a northbound Interstate 15 ramp to a railroad yard in South Salt Lake below, Winward said. The ramp is near a "spaghetti bowl" of highway interchanges.

The man was found about 8:30 a.m., and had been there for at least two hours, said UHP Sgt. Anthony Carrubba.
