The latest blaze destroyed an empty house at 1823 Keisel Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, said Ogden Deputy Fire Chief Chad Tucker.
It is the fourth fire in 10 days in the area and the seventh since May. Two of the fires happened at the same house, but the others were at different houses.
The homes are small, less than 1,000 square feet, and are set to be demolished, Tucker said.
They are in a group of about 10 houses that is fairly isolated, and the fires may have been started by people sleeping in the structures and attempting to stay warm.
The concern, Tucker said, is that the fires could spread to other occupied homes or someone could get hurt. He asked residents to watch for people exiting the houses and to snap pictures, if possible.
