Salt Lake County's unincorporated 'burbs have a new go-to person in government. The county has hired Megan Hillyard, a former intern for the County Council's fiscal analyst, to join the mayor's community-relations team. She will act as a liaison between the county and its community councils and township boards. Hillyard is a University of Utah graduate who returned to the Beehive State less than a year ago after serving for 15 months in Namibia as a Peace Corps volunteer. - Jeremiah Stettler
