The Bush Legacy Tour, a 45-foot-long bio-diesel bus, is scheduled for a stop at Salt Lake City's Washington Square today at State and 500 South from 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The wheeled Bush-basher left Washington, D.C., on June 24 and headed west, hitting 51 cities before landing in Utah's capital. An additional 48 stops are scheduled through Oct. 15.
Onboard exhibits highlight the Iraq War ("Misled into tragedy"), the economy ("American dream turned nightmare"), health care ("Premiums rise, coverage falls"), the environment ("Our future for sale"), workers ("Working harder, falling behind"), Katrina ("Epic failure of leadership") and education ("Promises broken").
Sponsored by Americans United for Change, the tour's Web site, www.bushlegacytour.com, is backed by the Center for American Progress Action Fund, AFSCME, SEIU, AFL-CIO, votevets.org, moveon.org, Health Care for America Now! and American Rights at Work.
