Starting this week, many state offices will be closed Fridays, meaning Utahns will have to run those errands another day. It's all part of an energy-saving plan initiated by Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr.
New office hours Beginning today, most state agencies will have office hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Some essential services, such as public safety, emergency management and corrections, will continue to provide daily service. You can go online at www.utah.gov to check hours and get more information.
On Fridays, you still can Buy alcohol at a state liquor store, visit state parks, visit inmates in state prisons, appear in a state court.
